''(Of course, i could make a little joke about how yiddishkeit is the closest religion to chabad, but its the nine days and its pas nisht.)''
Actually, given the fact that the first Bais Hamikdash was destroyed because of Avodah Zara, as is stated in the gemara (and discussed in kinos). there would be no more appropriate time for some ליצנותא דע"ז.
But a serious comment pointing this out is also fine, doesn't need to be humorous.
I see you wrote here RY Adlerstein would probably come out of the closet as MO any day now. I note this was posted July 25, 2023. Stated otherwise, about 10 weeks before the October 7 war and the ensuing Draft issues, suddenly more relevant to a recent Oleh. RYA, like NS, is another writer who I stopped reading years ago. (Tho for different reasons. Interestingly, the one made the other's shidduch.)
So what happened - did he come out of the closet as MO?
Did not see the attached article and strongly disagree with it. I am a big fan though of his parsha and girsa writings and find them invaluable. I would not dismiss him over one thing you disagree with.
Rabbi Adlerstein’s article’s title may be sensational, but that’s hardly THE problematic aspect of Chabad.
The actual article is nice.
